Poinsettia Paradox - Reconstructed
36”Hx24”W -
Inspired by the Arts & Crafts Movement of the early 1900’s and Marie Webster’s Poinsettia quilt because of the mix of red, white and black stripe fabric.
The center block is the traditional style Marie used with flowers, while I used a geometric and Paradox Zentangle design approach for the applique and machine quilting.
I wonder if Marie would use something different with her quilt, or if the mingling of traditional elements with such new elements a fascinating quilting paradox.
